Karen and Walker traveled across the pond from London for their intimate wedding in Chautauqua, a lakeside community south of Buffalo that overflows with art, music, and culture. Though Karen and Walker celebrated with only their immediate family, their friends took every opportunity to show love- even from afar. Karen’s girlfriends composed a video of well-wishes and local neighbors stopped by to cheer on the newly married couple. The beautiful scenery of Chautauqua was an ideal backdrop to the overflowing love and connection shared on this wedding day.

From the very first moments of this wedding day, we were immersed in filming beautiful details as we stepped into Karen’s family home. No sentiment was overlooked in their planning from the custom-painted invitation suite to the handmade ring dish featuring a painting of where Karen and Walker first met.

Custom artwork continued to be a theme when Karen gifted her mom a special drawing of herself, her mom, and her sister in their wedding attire! The perfect sketch to match one from her sisters wedding a few years prior.

On the guys side, Walker paid homage to family history by wearing his grandfathers watch and getting dressed with the family men by his side. They walked together to the little red church where Walker would see Karen coming down the aisle for the first time.

Following a heart-felt ceremony the couple and their families walked to the lakeside together, taking family formal photos along the stroll. The bridal party met beachside for their photos and cast off the couple in a special canoe ride. We shouted ‘kiss kiss’ from the shore as Walker paddled his bride.

Our evening ended with an intimate dinner and we filmed some of the most heart-felt speeches we have heard. Dancing under the stars brought our evening to a close as the couple saved their fireworks show for the ‘big wedding’ to come next year.
